Mission Statement

Our mission is to remove all barriers towards success by establishing a digital integrated environment that empowers people to achieve personal insight and collaborate globally using the principles of AMPLE: aim, motivate, plan, learn and educate.

Background and Philosophy

Project AMPLE began as a collaboration between two brothers to find a way to channel their analytical and creative thinking into making the world a better place. Both avid learners and keen psychological thinkers, they set out to craft a business around their passions. The birth of Project AMPLE came from the appreciation of the five activities they considered to be integral to sustainable success throughout society:

Aim: discover your purpose

Motivate: move to action

Plan: develop a strategy

Learn: acquire knowledge & skills

Educate: share your best with others

The mission of Project AMPLE is to empower people to act purposefully, creatively and productively.

Explanation of project: Laddice

Have you ever thought: "there must be more potential in my brain?" I've thought this from a young age and still do. I'm also reminded every time I hear someone say they "can't do this" or "can't do that". Well, several years ago I became determined to make a difference in the way people use their minds. I became determined to discover the perfect ingredients for unlocking human potential. This led to the birth of Project AMPLE.

Project AMPLE is a business dedicated to empowering people through the AMPLE facets:

  • Aim: Set a target

  • Motivate: Keep going

  • Plan: Work from a strategy

  • Learn: Get the knowledge/skills you need

  • Educate: Teach others in the process

But first things first; people need a better way to manage their knowledge. I realized this after trying countless numbers of note taking applications and methods for storing and later using information. Nothing worked the way I wanted it to. I wondered if knowledge really should be managed to begin with. Coming from an engineering background with a passion for psychology and understanding how people think, I began to ponder on this question. I came to these realizations:

  • Thinking about thinking is the most powerful thought

  • All people have a poor memory compared to computers

  • Understanding things is all about making connections

Information and thoughts are abundant but we humans just don’t know what to do with it! If only it could all be useful…Project AMPLE set it’s aim on building a tool to do just that: Make IT (information & thoughts) useful.

This opened up a whole can of worms involving neuroscience, artificial intelligence, cognitive science, taxonomy, ontology, connectionism, creativity, etc. Laddice manifested itself as a web application built upon the philosophies we (the founders) developed during our studies, self reflections and analysis.

Laddice: a Ladder to success through a Lattice-work of information and thoughts

Laddice is about appreciating every bit of information and each and every thought then providing a means to see them in a wider context where you can easily make connections. At the core, Laddice is about stimulation of insight and creativity through externalization of thoughts. Laddice is a powerful knowledge environment that extends beyond all existing note taking tools. The most important aspect of Laddice is the manner in which it treats notes. We wanted to instill in the user that every bit of information and each individual thought is really just a fragment of something much larger. Thus the fragmented note (more simply called a node) was born.

Breaking notes up into fragments calls for them to be put back together again like a puzzle. But unlike a traditional puzzle, Laddice allows the user to connect any node to any other node in a variety of relationships. The very act of connecting is what our brains are attempting to do (often subconsciously) when we truly are learning and understanding new things. In a way, Laddice connects you to your brain at a deeper level and then allows you to explore.

That's it, the essence of Laddice. But to make everything work well together we had to implement a number of other neat features. If you are interested to try it out, you can submit a request here: request an account

Introducing Laddice

by Project AMPLE

Laddice is a productivity platform that incorporates notes, tasks and knowledge management into one software.

It was designed through an evolutionary process over many years, with an uncompromising attitude towards solving the human challenge of self management and collaboration. It continues to evolve as we learn more and new technologies become available including AI language models.

The lifeblood of Laddice is Project AMPLE: the collaborative group developing the software and strategies for using it. Technology alone cannot solve the big problems…we need processes and guiding frameworks to support. Project AMPLE helps with consultation activities to understand your specific needs and help you establish a system within Laddice that works for you, whether as an individual or collaborative group.

What Makes Laddice Different?

At the core, Laddice is a connected machine. Every block of text can be individually marked and referenced in all kinds of ways. This allows for quick and flexible task management methods and a means to filter out noise to find relevant content. This simple concept creates opportunities that you don’t see in other software: living connections between different areas of your life and work, capability to seamlessly collaborate with others, and all in a system that promotes creativity and insight.

How Do We Do It?

Content within a Document is comprised of blocks of text (paragraphs) or lists (numeric or bulleted). Each of these blocks contains it’s own history, task marks and tags. These create an identity which can be linked to and from. A filter system can be applied to lists of Documents as well as content within Documents to find relevant blocks and their context while hiding the rest. Smart filters can be created to quickly create desired views and these filters can be used within documents for quick access to dynamic content.

Unlike in more complicated enterprise software, Laddice does not use segmented databases to store notes or folders to organize notes. Rather there is a single stream of content managed on a document-by-document basis. Each document can be part of one or more projects and so can co-exist in personal and shared domains when desired. Each document can easily be tagged and/or linked in various ways so there is no need for duplication, even across different domains of work.

How Can You Use It?

Project AMPLE is beta testing Laddice now. We are looking for users with complex challenges, long term goals, or looking for better ways to organize and manage content who are not satisfied with their current tools and processes. We are happy to assess your situation in a one-on-one consultation and provide guidance on how to address your problems within Laddice (or elsewhere). Some example use cases are:

  • Writing articles or a book

  • Starting a business

  • Research work

  • Note taking for school

  • Starting a new personal project
